SOMETHING IN THE TRIPLE IPA
 
Post Malone, what a guy; rapper, great musician, owner of fast cars, Nirvana fan and helping out the World Health Organisation with a fund-raiser for them during the COVID19 pandemic.
 
In April 2020, Post Malone, joined by guitarist Nick Mac, bassist Brian Lee and Blink 182 Drummer Travis Barker absolutely smashed their tribute to the songs of Kurt Cobain and Nirvana out of the park. In true Nirvana style, Malone and Lee donned dresses and the “band” deliberately didn’t play “Smells Like Teen Spirit”. Both of wearing the dresses as a nod to Cobain’s transgressive fashion and leaving out their biggest song are both very Nirvana things to do.
 
Some of the song choices were absolutely inspired, and show that Post Malone is a true Nirvana fan. Whilst not being musically perfect (Malone admitted himself that Lounge Act was a mouthful and that he’s not a great singer), there is real passion in the performance and really does have the feel of mates rocking out to their favourite band.
 
Now for the beer, and the Deeds Brewing Cheat Code Hazy TIPA is the heavy hitter this performance needs. This beer is part of the @gabsfestival pack, which we picked up today from @danmurphys. This beer is full of delicious Citra hops, was an absolute hit at GABS. At 10% ABV, this beer is not f*&$king around; just like Nirvana did and Post Malone did too paying tribute to these songs.
