East 9th Brewing Doss Blockos ‘X’ XPA x Jet - Move On

The next pick is from an Australian band that absolutely exploded off the back of this debut release. The band is @jet.theband, the song that was Number 1 of the @triple_j #hottest100 of 2003 is “Are You Gonna Be My Girl”, and the album is Get Born.

This album was released on 14th September 2003, was a Number One Album in Australia, was a Top 20 Album in 4 Countries, sold 1.7 million copies in the U.S and over 4 million copies worldwide.

The album has been described as catchy and the band’s appeal as diverse. Despite the popularity of “Are You Gonna Be My Girl”, their third single “Look What You’ve Done” was actually the song that performed the best on the @aria_official charts, peaking at Number 14.

The album has a really good vibe, and its no surprise that the album was the huge success that is became. It’s a shame that they didn’t stay together and didn’t make more albums, as we loved them when they came on the scene.

A band with a great vibe and needs a beer with a great vibe and oh boy did we find it. The brewery that came up with brew is Doss Blockos ‘X’ XPA from @east9thbrewing. We love the combination of the combination of Pale, Wheat, Vienna and Rolled Oats Malts and the use of Moasic, Centennial and Cascade Hops gives a really nice tropical mix of flavours. Throw in a nice amount of bitterness to balance out the malty deliciousness, and we have a tasty, refreshing, clean and hoppy brew.
