Eight Ball Stout, Lost Coast Brewery, 5.8% ABV

Eight Ball Stout

Opened this stout straight from the fridge poured it into a frozen glass and took the first gulp.

Chocolate aroma was more pronounced at this temperature, and taste was not heavy and as you may imagine; very refreshing. It had a subtle creamy like coffee aftertaste. I thought if any stout was considered refreshing, this was it.

However, as the temperature build up, that first impression started to fade, the taste got heavier and the roasty and coffee notes from the malt started to surface. It wasn't as refreshing as that first gulp.

Despite that it's still very drinkable by itself and the aftertaste clears up quickly urging you to take the next bite and finish this ale rather fast.
