FILTHY ANIMAL by Boundary Brewing

The 'Filthy Animal' chili porters are apparently a series and with no numbering anywhere on the can, I can only presume that this is the first in that series. That said, there seems to be an equal amount of reviews for a standard 4.7% porter as there is for this, a stronger imperial. The chipotle added towards the end of the boil is certainly evident though and gives a nice warmth in the aftertaste. In general though the whole thing could be improved with a little more intensity on all levels- the flavours are nice but lacking body or depth. I'm still looking forward to trying Filthy Animal numbers 2-5 however.
