THOMAS A.  ANDERSON, THOMAS MORELLO AND AN IPA TRIP DOWN THE WEST COAST.
 
The next pick centres around the Toms, the first being Thomas A. Anderson; who works as a programmer by day and hacker by night; chased by the authorities until he takes the “red pill”, as described by Morpheus “You take the red pill...you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes." The next Tom is Tom Morello, one of this generous greatest guitarists, a guitarist whose music helps carry the story telling of Zach De Le Rocha so brilliantly.
 
The album of course is the self titled album from @rageagainstthemachine, released in 1992. The track “Wake Up” was used at the end of “The Matrix”, a movie depicting a dystopian future in which humanity is unknowingly trapped inside a simulated reality. "The Matrix," which intelligent machines have created to distract humans while using their bodies as an energy source. The movie is believed to have a similar premise to Plato's Allegory of the Cave; where prisoners live their lives chained to a wall, and they watch shadows on a wall created by a fire; which become their reality.
 
The album’s songs feature political messages; and these songs created a powerful message to the world at the time. The cover features a photo of the self-immolation of Thích Quảng Đức, a Vietnamese Buddhist monk, in Saigon in 1963; who was protesting President Ngô Đình Diệm's administration for oppressing the Buddhist religion.
 
Now the beer needs to be something equally powerful to match the music and the movie, so it has to be “Ground Control” the Fresh Hop West Coast IPA from our friends from @hopnationbeer A trip to HPA's Buffalo River Valley hop farm delivering Sam and Dunc a beautiful bounty of freshly harvested Eclipse hops, which a few hours later found their way into this brilliant brew.
