Horoyoi White Grape
Not sure if everyone remembered but probably about 20 odd years ago Qoo white grape was kind of the IN thing to drink for kids. The 10 or 20 seconds commercial which I came to know has at least 35 different versions was enough to create a long lasting impression that it's a cool drink for all kids. In Japan, this water drop-like character even had its own educational TV program!
Horoyoi edition alcohol drinks are shochu mixes with carbonated/soda drinks. Interesting thing is they keep coming up with seasonal ones and worth the purchase if you like variety. I don't normally review these but the missus bought it atΒ @donkisgΒ the other time (as it was on offer; 3 for 8.50SGD?) but 3% seems still too much for her to handle. π€£
I would describe this as an adult upgrade to that 'beloved' Qoo drink. It was single dimensional (sort of just what I needed for that day after a long day work); sweet but not too sweet and with alcohol content that is hiding behind like a Trojan horse as it's not obvious since the content is quite low and the white grape flavour dominated the taste profile. Gulping it down like the childhood drink was no problem at all. π
