Mexican cake inspired imperial stout. Was expecting to be overwhelmed by spicy chillies going into this but holy moly, the brewers weren't playing when they said it was a cake stout. Nasty Riff is an orange chocolate cake in a can. Smells like the whole deal; rich orange/citrus, chocolate, icing and all. There's even a subtle cinnamon which reminded me of a carrot cake at first before I made the connection to an orange chocolate cake!! Texture is fairly thick with a pleasant cakey sweetness before oranges and chocolate dominate the palate. The stout finishes as you would expect it - mexican cake spice and chillies with a hint of dryness. Taste does not linger but the spice sure does.
Can only imagine what a BA version would be like 😢
