Part III of the ORB session.
 
The next beer pick for our trip through these tasty new brews from @oceanreachbrewing is the “ORB-X 002 Kveik NEIPA”. This brew is the 3rd release from the experimental series of beers. Containing a motherload of Azacca & Mosaic Hops. Pils, wheat & oats and using a Kveik yeast. The choice of hops are a perfect compliment for each other with Azacca giving a brilliant mix of mix of tropical fruit and citrus flavours. The Mosaic Hops provide complex blend of floral, tropical, fruity, and earthy characteristics. Combine all that with the perfect malts choice and the Kveik yeast; which provides its own slightly tropical, slightly acidic, red and green apple flavours and what you have is brilliant mix.
 
This brilliantly crafted beer goes amazingly with a brilliantly crafted album. The album is the fifth studio album “Blood Sugar Sex Magik”.  The album's subject matter incorporates sexual innuendos and references to drugs and death, as well as themes of lust and exuberance.
 
We keep finding out amazing facts about the albums we are listening to, and “Blood Sugar Sex Magik” is another album full of these great facts.
 
The best facts are that Anthony Kiedis wrote the words for “Under the Bridge” as a poem, never intending to use them in a RHCP song, until Rick Rubin accidentally discovered it in one of the singer’s notebooks; and that Kiedis wrote “I Could Have Lied” about his short-lived relationship with Sinéad O’Connor. “My Lovely Man” is a really powerful song, where Keidis reminisced about late Chili Peppers guitarist Hillel Slovak and the song was written in his memory.
 
The album is total magic, and the fans went mad for it. The album topped the charts in three countries, and made the Top five is another four countries; and has sold over 10 million copies. In 2006, the album was remastered with two extra tracks, including the Jimi Hendrix classic “Castles Made of Sand”.
