Alongside other Aussie prog rock legends like Karnivool and The Butterfly Effect sits the powerhouse sound of DLC with guitars blazing, upbeat vocals and an offbeat drum sound.
They spent nine months writing and recording their sophomore album with long-term producer and collaborator Forrester Savell. Comprising of 11 tracks, the album marks a clear progression in sound for DLC.
In 2013, Benzie revealed that some of the album's content was inspired by the band's touring, their environmental conscience and Benzie's experiences with ayahuasca in South America. He added, "one of the reasons the album is quite dark, particularly on songs like The Cure"
The album has also been a success commercially, debuting at #2 on the Australian ARIA Charts and was Triple J's feature album of the week starting 19 August. Get ready for a thrill ride!
