Spinifex Brewing WA Pale Ale x Tia Gostelow - Thick Skin

The final pick in National Reconciliation Week and Indigenous Artist special is from Tia Gostelow, whose debut album “Thick Skin” captures her tranquil sentiment perfectly; a young artist finding her voice in an indie dream state.

The album that she has created shows a wisdom beyond her years, and includes tracks that range from small and brooding with simple guitar riffs, powerful ballads, raw and emotive vocals as well as indie-folk classic music.

There are various genres within the album, and yet is the album is still cohesive and the tracks work well. Thick Skin is a spectacular exploration of the nitty-gritty areas of life. Put your headphones in and enjoy the ride!

Now for the beer, and an album that varies so brilliantly like this one needs a well crafted ale to go with it. The WA Pale Ale from Spinifex Brewing is a really good choice for this. This fruity well-crafted WA Pale Ale has been infused with Western Australian wax plant needles sourced from regional Western Australia. This beer is a wonderful full flavoured fruity light Pale Ale with flavours of wildflower and rich hops. The unique twist for this Pale Ale really works perfectly and the music and brew are a perfect pair.
