Watermelon Wheat Ale, Lost Coast Brewery, 5% ABV

Watermelon

Contrary to some reviews, I feel that this turned out not as bad as I thought (maybe there's some reverse psychology going in here).

The first mouth reminds me of watermelon bubble gum, feels little artifical but not overly so. The aroma is a little minty and watermelonish.

After that, as the taste buds are 'normalized', I started tasting the malt base and the sour aftertaste typical of a wheat beer from this pale hazy yellow bodied ale.

The watermelon and tangerine are equally good if you are looking for a refreshing, sweet and fruity contrasting beer.
