Beer Reviews

Yellow Van Pale Ale, 1925 Brewing Co, 4.8% ABV

I remember some years ago drinking this on draft when the microbrewery was located in Jalan Besar. Back then, I was new to the world of craft beer and having brain washed by the ubiquity of commercial beers back then and how all beer should taste like lager, I drank this having second thoughts if I did ordered the right beer to celebrate with my friends back then (although can't remember why we were celebrating) because this was very different, the taste, the aroma was distinctively more intense than any other 'golden coloured' beer I had back then.

I'm glad that I had the chance to have a second take on this. Having finally immersed myself into craft beer for a few years now. This ale to me now is balanced with a citrius aroma and a nice bitter finish at the end. It's quite true as the brewer said it can be easily paired with most foods. I had this with Taiwanese fried chicken (大鸡扒)from a nearby coffee shop and finished the beer with still many pieces of chicken left!

Bought this in a 6 bottle pack from @changirecommends at 38SGD
