Gin Pitsch

I picked this little gem some years ago on my travels and finally cracked it open today.

The botanicals that go into this are meant to be a well guarded secret and I hear there are 18 of them! I am pretty sure it’s packed with coriander, Angelica root, orange peel, lime and ginger as these flavours come through.

You know you’re definitely nosing gin with the strong waft of juniper laced with aromas of zesty citrus. The orange peel, lime and some key botanicals add a delightful hint of citrus. I get tinges of heat towards the finish which I believe come from ginger and coriander.

This blue opaque bottle has illustrations on it reflective of Düsseldorf’s skyline! How pretty!

I had this with a generous pour of soda and lemon though I think this would be perfect in a dry Martini.
