Been totally off the gram for a while and what better timing than to make a comeback! Wishing everyone a lovely Deepavali and may there be love and light always!

Celebrated the festival with a personal favourite, Juno’s 2022 Deepavali Limited Edition Gin. With an illustration of a peacock bearing the iridescent colour combination and symbolising the entry of prosperity and wealth, this expression uses some of the botanicals native to New Zealand. The stand out ones include mountain horopito (or pepper) and mairehau.

Once popped open, you get the strong aromas of orange. It also has fresh bursts of citrus expressions to taste with a spicy pepper finish. Splashed in a generous pour of soda to complement it. I garnished it with thulsi or more commonly known as the holy basil which is native to the Indian subcontinent. What a lovely treat this was for Deepavali!
