Lago Di Como Rivo Foraged Gin

As I went down memory lane reminiscing our trip to Como last year, I pulled out Como’s very own Rivo, again! I recall so clearly how I found this small-batch, tucked away in the nook of a little mom and pop store!

In addition to the usual suspects like Juniper, coriander and Angelica root, Rivo is made with seven locally foraged botanicals which are especially handpicked. They include thyme, anise, lemon balm and I believe, Melissa.

This one is a very versatile gin. It’s fresh on the nose, with traces of pine and citrus. To taste, the sharp and crisp herbal notes are at the fore, but the citrus undertones linger. It’s all mainly from the lemon balm. A very smooth and well rounded finish.

What a masterpiece this one is!!
