I tried Singapore’s own Suuankou Gin by Compendium. This was a limited edition bottle released last year and I am glad I picked up two!
Amber in colour from its aging in a French oak, this is distilled from vintage honey mead with 30 medicinal herbs and botanicals to an ABV of 68%. Potent indeed! A rich woody character permeates the base. There’s an earthy element on the nose. On the palette, it is smooth with a great full bodied feel. Lovely warm finish.
