It's 2023, whoever doesn't know the UFC - the world's premier mixed martial arts organisation - most definitely must be living under a rock.
The UFC has now announced that they're partnering up with 19 Crimes wine, part of Treasury Wine Estates, well-known for their flagship Penfold's brand of wines, to have 19 Crimes be the league's Offical Wine in Asia.
For those who don't yet know about 19 Crimes, it tells the authentic story of more than 160,000 exiled men and women - rule breakers and law-defying citizens who brought to Australia a new culture and fostered their bit of the continent's national spirit. 19 Crimes celebrates that rebellion and individuality and has been a real hit since its start in 2011.
19 Crimes sources wines from across Australia and is perhaps most known for its Red Blend, having collaborated with rapper Snoop Dogg on the "Cali Red" and Martha Stewart for the "Martha's Chard".
"19 Crimes celebrates the pioneers who broke barriers and pushed the limits of what is possible, the same spirit we carry at UFC. We are excited to partner with 19 Crimes in Asia and beyond.”
- Kevin Chang, UFC Senior Vice President and Head of Asia
Fans should expect a broader rollout as the wine brand launches its new global campaign celebrating its UFC partnership.
