Macallan's Harmony Collection, now in its 5th set of release, has certainly taken us to some unexpected realms that we've hardly seen in the world of whiskies, much less Scotch. From chocolate to coffee and tea, and the more abstract nature as told by the McCartney sisters and even the famous Cirque du Soleil - each release has been unique and at the same time has served its goal of showcasing innovation where it comes to sustainability in its packaging, with each release's packaging and label made of the very materials it is said to be inspired by.
Now, it appears that Macallan has taken quite the liking for something more tropical - here comes the Macallan Harmony Collection Inspired By Fresh Coconut!
The new release comes with a partnership with the TimeSpirit Dining Experience, a permanent dining experience housed at The Macallan Estate that is the collaboration between The Macallan and renowned restaurant (and frequent Macallan collaborator) El Cellar de Can Roca, which is said to be a culinary exploration and playful expression of The Macallan story.
The whisky itself in the new Macallan Harmony Collection Inspired By Fresh Coconut is bottled at 46.3% ABV, and has been matured in a combination of Sherry seasoned American oak casks and casks that previously held Bourbon.

Maturation and mastery are at the heart of this concluding release in the collection, an embodiment of where the science and art of whisky making meet in complementary balance.
The coconut flavour notes highlighted are entirely natural with beautifully fresh hints of zesty lime and coconut milk. Sweet oak and tropical fruits emerge further on the palate. The result is nature and nurture, balanced in perfect harmony.
Should we expect the packaging to be made of coconut husk? Probably!
Stay tuned for more!
