One of the key features of Amrut's Expedition is presented in a handcrafted, painted box, with each bottle individually engraved, numbered, and featuring a diamond-cut design with gold engravings. A silver peg measure, crafted by a Bangalore silversmith, is included. The complex metal and wood box design was said to require six months and five prototypes to perfect.
Amrut reports that 60% of the limited-edition 75 bottles of Expedition have already been pre-booked, primarily by international buyers.
Amrut's Expedition whisky is now available in major markets worldwide, including India, the USA, the UK, Europe, Dubai, Singapore, and Australia, with each bottle retailing at around Rs 10,50,000 in India, or about $12,000 overseas.
