Jamaica's Appleton Estate's Hearts Collection is coming to 1998 - the 8th addition to the single vintage, single mark, 100% pot still, 100% tropically (Jamaica) aged series.

This stands out from the rum distillery's core range which are typically a blend of various vintages and marques - it was born out of a collaboration between Luca Gargano, the chief of prolific Italian co-bottler Velier, and Appleton Estate's Master Blender, Joy Spence, to showcase the distillery's most singular rum expressions. They also represent the first time in the distillery's history to have their rums bottled 100% pot still. 

Previous vintages includes 1984, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1999, 2002, 2003.

Distilled in a Forsyth Pot Still and then aged for 25 years, nineteen casks of this marque were blended to create an elegant, single marque limited-edition collection.
