Sydney-based gin and whisky maker Archie Rose Distilling Co. is launching a new gin expression - the Raw Honey Gin Harvest, 2022 - that celebrates the 2022 harvest of honey from eight beehives housed on site at their distillery.

The new expression, Raw Honey Gin Harvest 2022, represents the latest addition to the distillery's Harvest Series. The Harvest Series pays homage to Austraian growers, providores and regions in order to highlight the provenance of their spirits.

Raw Honey Gin Harvest 2022 reflects the distinct flavour of the 2022 harvest, which changes with the season depending on the flowers that the bees may come into contact with. In 2022, that included water gum, paperbark, clover and red bottlebrush. 

Core botanicals include Archie Rose Distillery honey, Mandarin Peel from New South Wales, Juniper from Macedonia and Orris Root from Morrocco. 

Official Tasting Notes

Nose:

Freshly poured honey, fennel blossoms and young pine needles blossom into more subtle notes of golden wattle, honeysuckle and beeswax.

Palate:

A mouth-filling and luscious palate weight, with notes of honey, glacé pineapple and soft green herbs.

Finish:

A satisfying finish of floral honey, orange sherbert, eucalypt and a touch of spearmint.
