What started out as a project by Australian former ship captain turn rum importer Justin Boseley, has continued to expand globally with the Dead Reckoning independent bottling brand now reaching Asian markets including Japan and Taiwan.

With rums sourced from not only the Caribbeans but also Australian, Dead Reckoning has continued to put out unique expressions that at times showcase the Australian dry ageing effect that is unique to the country's deserts, which sees rum alcoholic proofs go up with age instead of down as is convention.

The new expansion into Asia comes on the back of previous launches in Europe, UK and USA, with Dead Reckoning's rums to be found at Liquorland Kimura and Bar Tre in Japan, as well as The Rum Shop in Taiwan.

To commemorate the occasion, Dead Reckoning has released for Japan and Taiwan three bottlings - a 2 Year Old Killik Australian rum, an 3 Year Old South Pacific Fiji rum and an 11 Year Old Venezuelan rum.
