Beloved Irish Distiller Teeling Kicks Off 10th Birthday In Style With Birthday Batch Made With Oldest Whiskies
Who doesn't love a great David versus Goliath story?
And so it should come as no surprise just how beloved Dublin, Ireland's Teeling Whiskey is!
What started out as a venture in 2012 between the Teeling brothers, Jack and Stephen, with the support of their father John (who also founded the historic Cooley Distillery that broke the monopoly on Irish distilling), has become a global icon. In 2015, Teeling had finally opened its new distillery in Dublin, cementing the first new distillery in Dublin in over 125 years!
In the last decade, the distillery has welcomed over 1 million visitors from around the world, and has even most recently won World's Best Visitor Attraction Team and World's Best Marketing Team by the World Whiskies Awards in 2025. The distillery has also distilled over 6.1 million litres of whiskey and has filled over 50,000 casks with this Dublin produced spirit!
And so to celebrate, the distillery has created the Teeling 10th Birthday Batch, made with some of Teeling's oldest malt and pot still whiskey from its Dublin distillery. The whiskies have been matured in ex-Bourbon casks, and is bottled at 50.1% ABV.
Just 500 individually numbered bottles of the Teeling Birthday Batch will be released, with all profits going to local charities. Each bottle is priced at US$115.
The 10th anniversary Birthday Batch is said to showcase a "beautiful balance of orchard fruits, caramel and butterscotch from the malt component, the peppercorn spice and green apple oiliness of the Pot Still, with a unique tropical character of melon and guava."
