Elixir Distillers Readies for Tormore's Relaunch with Three Teaser Single Malts

Elixir Distillers is set to relaunch Tormore distillery with the unveiling of three ‘teaser’ single malt releases. The three 10-year-old single malts will be released under the new Blueprint series, representing the first official releases from Tormore Distillery under its new ownership, having been acquired from Pernod Ricard by Elixir Distillers in 2022.

The Blueprint whiskies have been matured in three distinct casks:

Bourbon barrel: A combination of whiskies aged in first-fill Bourbon barrels. It is said to represent the core of the future single malts from Tormore and displays notes of caramel, coconut, pear, nectarine, walnuts, custard, biscuits, and peach tart.

Toasted barrel: Matured in virgin American oak barrels, which have been crafted, toasted, and charred specifically to the distillery’s specifications.

Spanish Cream Sherry casks: Historically, the popular Sherry style blends dryer wine such as oloroso with a sweeter wine like Pedro Ximenez. For the Tormore single malt, ageing in cream Sherry casks result in notes of dried fruits and orange peel.

Limited to 1,500 bottles each and available worldwide starting June, all three whiskies are offered at 48% ABV with an MSRP of £59.95 (US$81).
