Kirin Brewery Company has announced the upcoming international debut of Kirin Single Grain Japanese Whiskey FUJI Aged 12 Years, marking the first age-statement expression in the brand's portfolio.
Bottled at 48% ABV, the new expression will also be the new flagship expression of Kirin's FUJI brand.
Crafted at the iconic Fuji Gotemba Distillery, the 12-year-old expression will make its initial roll-out across the UK and France in October, followed by launches in the US and global duty-free locations in November.
A domestic release within Japan is slated for next year.
The whisky is crafted from three distinct grain styles, with Master Blender Jota Tanaka having selected each component at its peak maturity, combining heavy, medium, and light grain spirits.
The resulting expression is said to promise vibrant notes of ripe fruit, subtle floral accents, and a crystalline sweetness anchored by deep, lingering layers of oak.
