Glenfiddich & Balvenie Introduce New Southeast Asia Ambassador Jyri Pylkkänen

 

William Grant & Sons have unveiled a new face for their iconic malt whisky brands in Southeast Asia. Jyri Pylkkänen takes on the role of Regional Malts Brand Ambassador, focusing his passion and expertise on the Glenfiddich and The Balvenie labels. 

Jyri (pronounced yoo-ree) brings a decade of experience to his new position. His career began in his native Finland where he gained acclaim in the Helsinki bar scene as the founder of two award-winning cocktail establishments, and then to Beverage Partners Finland Oy, the leading alcoholic beverage retailer in Finland, where he was instrumental in leading several successful activations. He later joined William Grant & Sons as Brand Experience Manager in Helsinki. This previous experience will likely prove invaluable as he navigates broader regional responsibilities in Southeast Asia.

 

 

In his new role, Pylkkänen is dedicated to sharing his malt whisky knowledge with partners, media, and enthusiasts across Southeast Asia. Expect to see him hosting informative dinners, leading focused training sessions, and creating engaging experiences to highlight the heritage and craftsmanship behind these revered brands. In his downtime, look for Jyri at the nearest tennis court, golf range, hiking trail or playing with his housemate's cats.
