Glenmorangie is adding to its A Tale Of series with a new expression - A Tale Of Spices that will see the use of four different casks to create a mosaic of flavours.
According to Glenmorangie,
Inspired by the mosaic of flavours at spice markets, A Tale Of Spices marries four cask finishes: moroccan red wine, new charred oak, pedro ximénez sherry and shaved toasted red wine casks. The rich tapestry of aromas includes rose, jasmine and lilac, mingling with a myriad of exotic spices like cumin, saffron, nutmeg, ginger, chilli and anise. Beautifully balanced with sweet notes of sugar-coated almonds and refreshing eucalyptus, and an aftertaste of clove and peppermint.
The new expression is bottled at 46% ABV.
Previously Glenmorangie has featured various unique expressions made with different cask finishes and an assortment of whiskymaking variations to create expressions such as A Tale Of Tokyo (which saw the use of Mizunara casks) to A Tale Of The Forest (where woodland botanicals were kilned together with the barley).
