Havana Club has now released a rum aged in ex-Irish-whiskey casks: The Ron Tributo.

Aged in ex-Redbreast barrels, this release adds the 8th offering to its Icónica Collection which began in 2016 and seeks to honor Cuba’s heritage and rum culture.

This latest addition was said to have been made with the guidance of the maestros del ron Cubano (Cuban rum masters) and built on generations of knowledge, precise ageing, and blending techniques.

This offering is said to have aromas of vanilla, dried fruits, and subtle Sherry, followed on the palate by notes of candied orange, fruitcake, plantain crisps, hints of spiced undertones and toasted oak.

This release is limited to 2,967 individually numbered bottles, with the contents of each bottled at 43% ABV. 

The Tributo 2025 will soon be available in more than 20 international markets from April, with a recommended retail price of €450 (US$467).
