Widely acclaimed Tennessee whiskey Jack Daniel’s has welcomed to its permanent Single Barrel lineup its Heritage Barrel expression, which was previously only a special release in 2018 and 2019.
The Heritage Barrel's whisky is made with Jack Daniel’s classic mash bill of 80% corn, 12% malted barley, and 8% rye, and dripped through 10 feet of sugar maple charcoal.
The expression is stored in barrels crafted using a high-toast, low-char technique inspired by traditional barrel-making practices. This method is said to imbue a deeper toasted layer before the barrels are charred.
Placed in the special barrels at a lower ABV of 50%, it is then matured in some of the highest-elevated barrel houses located in Lynchburg, Tennessee for a minimum of seven years.
Cut down to 50% ABV before bottling, the expression is said to boast notes of oak, honey, candied fruit, and brown sugar.
Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Heritage Barrel Tennessee Whiskey is now available nationwide in the US in 750ml bottles, with an MSRP of $69.99.

An international rollout will soon follow in the coming months.
