Johnnie Walker has announced the launch of its Blue Label Azure, a coastal summer-inspired version of Johnnie Walker Blue Label Diageo says intends to be at ‘the heart of summer celebrations'.
Johnnie Walker’s Master Blender Dr. Emma Walker, was reported to have crafted this expression to enhance the classic Blue Label profile with brighter, more coastal characteristics.
The brand has said the expression presents notes of citrus, orchard fruits, gentle smoke and sweetness, which can be enjoyed neat or shine against the oily texture of seafood.
Following IWSR data that Johnnie Walker was the best-selling Scotch in travel retail in 2024, Diageo highlighted the release as both a ‘differentiated expression that cannot be found at home’ and also ‘perfect for people travelling to warm, beach destinations’.

Blue Label Azure boasts an ocean-inspired bottle design, designed by Colombian designer Johanna Ortiz.
The bottle itself was created using 100% post-consumer recycled (PCR) glass, and housed in an exclusive custom bottle bag, which Diageo called a ‘statement accessory’.
Debuting at 43% ABV, the expression launches this May at London Heathrow via Avolta UK for £320 (US$432).
Following this initial release, it will roll out to major global duty-free hubs, including Singapore's Changi, Incheon, Hong Kong, Bogota, Nice, and Paris.
The launch will also be supported by various activations, including a Blue Label Azure pop-up tasting bar at Heathrow’s Terminal 4 and within the British Airways corporate lounge.
