Johnnie Walker is bringing its imbibers to snowy slopes with the launch of its limited edition Blue Label Ice Chalet.
The brand has partnered with luxury skiwear brand Perfect Moment to create a new blended whisky inspired by "Blue Hour," the magical time between sunset and twilight on the slopes. The collaboration features Johnnie Walker Blue Label ambassador and Perfect Moment shareholder Priyanka Chopra Jonas as the face of the new blend.
Created by Master B lender Emma Walker, Ice Chalet is said to have notes of cinnamon-spiced apple, warm cloves, spice and a finish with subtle hints of "Alpine smoke".
The brand said that the blend of whiskies in this expression come from some of its most northern and highest altitude distilleries, including Dalwhinnie, Clynelish and Brora. The Brora in the blend is from the reopened distillery’s old stock. Ice Chalet is also the first from the brand to feature whisky from Roseisle Distillery. Only one in 10,000 casks is said to have met the brand's requirements to be included in the blend.

This limited edition is the second addition to the brand's Cobalt series. It follows the launch of Johnnie Walker Blue Label Elusive Umami last year, created in partnership with Chef Kei Kobayashi.
In creating this blend, Master Blender Emma Walker drew inspiration from Alpine landscapes and the rough hewn beauty of winter landscapes to create an expression to accompany après-ski moments or as a gift for whisky collectors, ski or fashion enthusiasts.

The limited edition bottle comes packaged in a reversible bottle bag crafted with a liquid blue and silver fabric. Inspired by Perfect Moment's North Star and houndstooth print, the bag also acts as a stylish crossbody bag for on-the-go use.
Throughout the ski season, Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ice Chalet will host a series of luxury ‘Blue Hour’ experiences at popular ski destinations with events in Deer Valley, Utah and Niseko, Japan.

The release also follows a series of innovations by Johnnie walker, not least the world's lightest whisky bottle and trial paper bottles. The whisky is bottled at 43% ABV and will be available globally with a SRP of US$350.
This limited release will be showcased internationally, starting with a launch in London and New York, with consumer experiences opening in January in key luxury Après Ski locations such as the world-famous slopes of Niseko in Japan.
From 15 November to end January, whisky lovers in Singapore will have the opportunity to taste the Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ice Chalet in whisky flights and après-ski inspired cocktails at HighHouse and NOVA – the highest restaurant lounge and rooftop bar in Singapore.
The expression will also be available for purchase at asher.sg and other leading retailers at S$460. Of course, this would come with the stylish Perfect Moment crossbody bag which would function as its packaging and bottle carrier.
