As Kanosuke continues to bring its fans ever closer to the craftsmanship of its Japanese single malts, the Kagoshima-based distillery had in 2025 released the Component Series which showcased the primary palette that Kanosuke works with to produce its whiskies.

Three components were initially released - ex-Bourbon Cask, Re-charred ex-Shochu Cask and ex-Sherry cask.

Now there's a fourth! Say hello to Kanosuke's Peated Component!

The Peated component is said to be "Gentle and juicy peated component, with rich bitter sweetness of caramel and hint of see breeze aftertaste."

Official Tasting Notes

The Peated Component is bottled at 50% ABV (200ml), and will be sold at 4,620 JPY (US$29.60).
