What you need to know:

• Kanosuke Distillery is replacing its Distillery Festival with an Open Day for 2022, which will take place on 12 & 13 November 2022.
• A limited Open Day bottling will be released, with 200 bottles sold on each day.
• The limited expression is aged for 1.5 Years in Bourbon barrels and 3 Years in ex-Sherry quarter casks. It is bottled at 54% ABV.
• The whisky has flavors comparable to "cake with plenty of fruits".

Every November, Kanosuke holds its Distillery Festival, however, due to the distillery's move to a two-shift system to optimise whisky production, the Japanese distillery plans to hold an Open Day instead. The Open Day 2022 will be held for 2 days on 12 & 13 November 2022.

Visitors will be able to take part in free tours around the distillery, and also be eligible to purchase the Open Day limited edition bottling from Kanosuke Distillery. This will be on a first-come-first-serve basis and will be limited to 200 bottles released on each day.

The Open Day 2022 single malt bottling is bourbon cask aged for a year and a half, after which it was further aged in an ex-Sherry quarter cask for another three years, making it a four and a half year old whisky. The distillery says the whisky has flavors comparable to "cake with plenty of fruits".

It will be sold at the distillery's shop from 10 AM on 12 & 13 November 2022, limited to one bottle per person.
