Kanosuke has announced the release of its new Kanosuke Sherry Cask Vatted Japanese Single Malt, which will be available from 21st November 2025!

The new expression takes the Kagoshima-based distillery's flagship single malt and focuses it instead on the generous use of Sherry casks, and in particular Oloroso and Cream Sherry.

"While exploring a new dimension of mellowness, it retains the subtle spice of “wa” from our shochu casks – the very heart of the Kanosuke style. A touch of new American white oak adds a gentle accent, bringing further harmony. The whisky opens with aromas of dark cherry and rich pound cake, followed by mellow fruitiness on the palate. A tropical note of mangosteen flows into a calm, lingering finish – like watching the sunset over the sea."

The new Kanosuke Sherry Cask Vatted is bottled at 48% ABV and is priced at 10,450 Yen (US$70.25).
