Korea's Ki One Kickstarts The Year With Two Releases For Batch 4: Peated And Smoked
South Korea's pioneering Three Societies Distillery has been consistently debuting new releases for their Ki One Korean Single Malt Whisky in batches, whilst making sure they showcase the various experiments and facets of the distillery's whiskymaking.
As South Korea's first and currently one of three active whisky distillers, Three Societies' whiskies have been met with great anticipation ever since their early interval releases (we've got them all reviewed here!) leading up to their full debut.
Batch 4 will see two releases - Peated and Smoked, the first instance of a peated expression from the distillery, and is inspired by Korean cuisine.
As Three Societies describes, the "Peated" will feature a heavy peat and iodine flavour, while the "Smoked" will offer a subtle smoky taste that is derived through more delicate blending.
