Kuju Distillery is starting off its Japanese single malt journey with the release of Kuju Sora 2025, which is the first in an annual series titled Kuju Sky that celebrates the majestic nature of Kuju.

Following the highly anticipated release of Kuju Distillery's inaugural Kuju The First, the Japanese micro distillery is now endeavouring to express the changing seasons of its hometown in Oita Prefecture.

According to Kuju Distillery, the new Sora 2025 is said to be express a dry orange flavour, moving beyond the green and yellow notes that came off the Kuju The First expression, with this time more of a coloured fruitiness and a sun-kissed earthiness to its aromas as a result of the use of peated malt. Its body is also said to be complex and rich, further enhancing its multi-layered fruitiness.

Kuju Sora 2025 will be bottled at 50% ABV, and will be priced at 12,800 Yen (US$83.10), which will be made available from 26th November 2025!
