Loch Lomond Debuts New Waypoint Series Paying Tribute To Distillery's Landmarks

Loch Lomond has been quietly growing its fanbase over the past several years and has become something of an insider's whisky. It's been pulling all the right levers, producing great fruity whiskies across its now streamlined core range and expressing its more experimental side in the form of limited releases.

And so we can look forward to a new limited series from Loch Lomond called the Waypoint Series - Number One is titled Falls of Falloch, and pays tribute to a key water feature landmark nearby the distillery itself.

The Falls of Falloch.

In the heart of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park lies the Falls of Falloch. A truly remarkable natural landmark of serene beauty, uniting an immense water flow with picturesque surroundings.

Master Blender Michael Henry has created a whisky with a character inspired by this place. Bringing together spirit distilled exclusively in our swan neck stills and a Cognac cask finish, to create a whisky that is worthy of exploration and a fitting tribute to its natural beauty. Matured in three kinds of ex-Bourbon American oak casks before finishing its flavour journey for 12 months in ex-cognac casks, this whisky captures exploration and depth in every drop.

Michael Henry says, 'Beginning with aromas of soft citrus and honey blossom, it opens up with a sweetness of stewed apple & honeysuckle taste before oak notes from the cognac casks come to the fore. The finish is medium with notes of soft citrus.'

The new Loch Lomond Waypoint Series Number One Falls of Falloch expression is aged for 16 Years and bottled at 46.2% ABV.
