Louis Roederer In Talks to Acquire Burgundy’s Renowned Domaine Pierre Damoy

Esteemed Reims Champagne house Louis Roederer has announced that it has entered exclusive negotiations to acquire Domaine Pierre Damoy, a respected wine estate located in Gevrey-Chambertin in Burgundy.

Domaine Pierre Damoy is recognized for its nearly eight hectares of grand cru vineyards, mainly situated in the Chambertin, Chambertin-Clos de Bèze, and Chapelle Chambertin appellations within the Côte de Nuits.

These vineyards are among the most prestigious in Burgundy, known for producing some of the world’s most sought-after Pinot Noir wines.

Pending final agreements and standard closing conditions, this undisclosed deal signals Louis Roederer’s continued pivot beyond Champagne. If finalized, the acquisition further cements the house's strategy of aggressively expanding its portfolio of elite, high-profile vineyard holdings.

Since its founding in 1776, Louis Roederer has amassed 250 hectares of vines—over half of which are certified organic. This move into Burgundy underscores a broader strategy to diversify beyond Champagne, absorbing world-class estates into its portfolio to curate a collection of the globe's most prestigious wine regions.
