Marie-Galante is a small island that forms the archipelago of Guadeloupe - yet it is known to produce amongst the finest rhum agricoles - one of the most craft of which is Pere Labat.
The distillery has added two new expressions for 2023 - the Pere Labat Poseidon and the Silver Opus Millesime 2011.
The Pere Labat Poseidon is a 2007 15 Year Old cask strength expression that is presented in a vintage-styled decanter. This is bottled at 54% ABV and is priced at 1150 EUR.
The Silver Opus 2011 Millesime is an 11 Year Old, with 8 years of ageing in ex-Bourbon barrels and another 3 year in Grand Cru white Burgundy barrels. This expression is bottled at 43% ABV and is priced at 209 EUR.
