Mars Single Cask Takes Us To A Night Of Evening Snow At Kanbara

We've got a new Mars Single Cask headed our way!

It's a 5 Year Old single cask distilled at Mars' Komagatake Distillery up in Nagano, and features the ukiyo-e print entitled Evening Snow at Kanbara, which belongs to a series by famed Japanese artist Utagawa Hiroshige, called the Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido.

The snowy scene depicts an elusive scene in Kanbara, modern-day Shizuoka Prefecture, and what is most interesting about this print is that the area rarely ever snows, which poses the viewer the question of whether this scene was even real!

The whisky was distilled in 2019 and bottled in 2024, aged in American White Oak at Mars' Yakushima Ageing Cellar, and made using unpeated malt.

The single cask is bottled at 61% ABV.
