After a decade, Milagro Tequila has broken it's silence with the introduction of a new core spirit: The Cristalino Añejo.
The spirit follows Milagro's existing core selection, inclusive of the Silver, Reposado and Añejo. It also marks the brand's entrance into the rapidly growing Cristalino category, which consists of oak-aged Tequila that's filtered with charcoal.
The tequila is said to be crafted with 100% blue agave handpicked from the Highlands of Jalisco at peak maturity. It is aged for 18-24 months in American ex-Bourbon and French Oak casks before being filtered through charcoal to obtain a clear spirit.
The oak aging is said to add fruit flavors as well as layers of richness and depth, rounding out the fresh agave flavors. Milagro tellls us to expect notes of citrus, stone fruit, burnt sugar and a vanilla sweetness.
The spirit comes in an ombre version of Milagro's core range bottles. Bottled at 40% ABV, it is available for purchase nationwide in America at USD$59.99.
