Dobel Tequila Expands Atelier Series with New Animal-Inspired Extra Añejo, Animales Endémicos

Dobel Tequila is expanding its Atelier collection with the launch of a new Extra Añejo  Tequila that will be presented in six hand-pointed bottles. Dubbed the Dobel Atelier: Animales Endémicos, the new Extra Añejo  Tequila was aged for more than three years in new American and European oak barrels.

According to the brand, this expression will deliver a unique combination of scents and flavors with notes of dried fruit, pineapple, apple, butter, prune, and cinnamon— and taste profiles of charred oak, toasted almond with a myriad of spices.

Each bottle in the Animales Endémicos collection is also one of a kind, hand-painted by skilled Oaxacan artisans who employ traditional techniques typically reserved for decorating alebrijes—the whimsical, fantastical creature figurines from Oaxaca.

Specifically, year’s bottle designs are inspired by various animals native to Mexico: the axolotl, the jaguar, the monarch butterfly, the dwarf jay, the Tamaulipas owl, and the Mexican wolf.

The Dobel Atelier series has been a collectible tribute to Mexican culture and craftsmanship, with each release in this series another step in Dobel's mission to weave the rich narratives of Mexico through the art of spirits.

The collection is now available while stocks last across the US and online on the brand’s website with a MSRP of US$250. Bottle designs will be randomly chosen after purchase.
