Last year in 2022, Old Pulteney unveiled a new line-up called the Coastal Series, that promises to bring fans on a global voyage of exploration with Old Pulteney through four limited edition expressions, each inspired and created in collaboration with spirit makers from coastal locations around the world, harmonising special cask selections with the maritime flavors of Old Pulteney Scotch.

The first of the four-part Coastal Series saw the French coast inspire a Pineau des Charentes cask finish. Now for the second part of the series, it seems that Old Pulteney is heading to Portugal's famed Douro Valley, home of Port wine.

The new Port Wine Cask Matured Old Pulteney Coastal Series will see the maritime malt take on "fruity, sweet and spicy" notes, having been matured in ex-bourbon casks, and the Port casks from the valley.

This will be bottled at 46% ABV.
