Rampur is unveiling two new additions to its Jugalbandi series, a range of eight limited edition Indian single malt whiskies: the Jugalbandi #3 and Jugalbandi #4. 

Jugalbandi is a term commonly used in Indian music, and translates to "entwined twins". It refers to a duet of two musicians and instruments are create perfect harmony on stage. With the Jugalbandi series, Rampur aims to capture the essense of this ancient artform by aging each expression in two casks that complement each other perfectly. 

Jugalbandi #3 has been matured in American bourbon casks and Port wine casks. According to the distillery, this expression carries a blend of sweetness and spice due to the Bourbon influence, and a smooth, velvety mouthfeel with hints of sweet plum cake from the Port Wine Casks. The expression will be bottled at 54.8% ABV.

Jugalbandi #4 has been matured in Amercian Bourbon casks and Pale Ale Casks. The result is said to bring forth fruity, floral notes from the bourbon casks and spicy malt from the Indian Pale Ale casks. The expression will be bottled at 52.4% ABV.

Commenting on the new releases, Anup Barik, master distiller at Rampur Distillery, said: “We are always striving to continue innovating with each new release. I love marrying together pairs of different casks in the Jugalbandi series and am excited to have Rampur Select available again. We are looking forward to unveiling these three new expressions.”

Both Jugalbandi #3 and Julgalbandi #4 will retail at an RRP of £400. After an initial launch in the UK, the new Jugalbandi expressions will be available in the US, EU, Singapore and global travel retail. It is now available on DrinkSupermarket.com.
