Rhum Clément has just launched a limited edition Cask Finish collection, featuring seven double-aged agricole rums each finished in different casks from around the world.

The collection includes rums finished in Hungarian Tokaji dessert wine, smoky French whisky, Port, Armagnac apple brandy, oloroso Sherry from Spain, Japanese sake, and Italian grappa.

Each expression has been aged for four years in American oak barrels, then finished for an additional 10 to 12 months in casks sourced from various other regions.

Created by Clément cellar master Julien Thimon and the distillery’s tasting committee, the collection aims to demonstrate the unique sensory story of various cask finishes, with French whisky said to impart smoky undertones, while Armagnac brings heightened notes of fresh grapes and roasted coffee.
