Martinique rhum distillery, Saint James' Cellar Master, Marc Sassier, is launching a new collection that pays tributes to the great rhums of the Martiniquan distillery - the new "Les Ephemeres" series.
The inaugural release, Number 1, is a cask strength distilled in 2001 in a traditional Creole column still, which was then matured in 190L American oak barrels on 29 November, 2001, for 19 years of aging, with no additions or dilutions before bottling.
Three more vintages for the series have already been marked out and await the distillery's final approval on their readiness for bottling.
