Freixenet is entering the Spritz market with the unveiling of an apéritif made from sun-ripened citrus fruits: Solare.
A Mediterranean apéritif made with 100% natural ingredients that include sun-ripened Spanish lemon and clementine, with notes of botanicals such as rosemary and thyme.
Inspired by the Spanish sun and bottled at 11% ABV, the brand says the new apéritif offers a ‘refreshing, modern option for relaxed celebrations’ and aims to meet the global Spritz trend.
Bottled at 11% ABV in a 700ml bottle, it will be available in more than 15 countries worldwide, including Germany, Spain, France, Belgium, Switzerland, and Lithuania, from March.
For those wondering how best to serve it, Freixenet recommends building the Solare Spritz with three parts sparkling wine, two parts Solare, and one part sparkling water, finished with ice and a slice of lemon.
An alcohol-free version of Solare will launch in June.
