Melbourne's Starward Distillery has released a new Muscat barrel aged Australia-only limited release via ballot.

The new Australian single malt was fully matured in Muscat barrels sourced from Rutherglen, Victoria, for 4 years before being bottled at 48% ABV.

Our distillers are no strangers to experimenting with fortified wine. With access to some of the best foritifed wine regions in our backyard, they couldn't wait to play around with a new style. Using a combination of wet filled and charred Muscat barrels from Rutherglen, Victoria - an iconic region producing deliciously sweet and fragrant Muscat wines.

Our whisky soaked up all those aromatic and spicy flavours from the oak, resulting in a unique expression that celebrates the delicious Muscat characters."
