Melbourne's Starward Whisky is serving up RTD canned cocktails that will incorporate their Australian-made whiskies. 

The cocktails were selected based on what's been popular at their Port Melbourne distillery bar.

“It was important to us that Starward’s Canned Cocktails offered something new to the category,

We didn’t want to follow the rulebook and mix our whisky with expected flavours. Not to mention, we’re lucky to have a whisky that can mix with light and bright flavours, so well.

This is why we have released our Canned Cocktails range in bright, fruity and highly refreshing serves. We know that consumers will be on the hunt for convenient yet delicious drink solutions this summer and breaking away from tradition with unexpected yet highly refreshing serves could be key in recruiting a new wave of whisky drinkers.”

Starward Whisky, Soda and Tangy Finger Lime 

ABV 6%, $7.99 per can or $28.99 per four-pack

Tasting Notes:

• Colour: Pale yellow
• Aroma: Vanilla and oak from the whisky balanced by fresh citrus.
• Palate: Toasted oak and vanilla spice with hints of juicy lemon and citrus zing.
• Finish: An effervescent blend of whisky and citrus.

Starward Whisky, Tonic and Juicy Ruby Grapefruit

ABV 6%, $7.99 per can or $28.99 per four-pack

Tasting Notes:

• Colour: Pale yellow
• Aroma: Vanilla and oak from the whisky. Ripe, red orchard fruits balanced by zesty grapefruit.
• Palate: Hints of juicy grapefruit and refreshing tonic immerse the palate followed by toasted oak and vanilla spice from the whisky.
• Finish: Refreshing bubbles from the tonic carry lingering notes of Two-Fold.

Starward Whisky, Ginger Beer and Zesty Orange

ABV 6% $7.99 per can or $28.99 per four-pack

Tasting Notes:

• Colour: Medium golden brown
• Aroma: Vanilla and oak from the whisky. Juicy pineapple and orange balanced by spicy, fresh ginger.
• Palate: Dried tropical fruits, orange citrus and ginger spice balanced by toasted oak and vanilla from the Two-Fold whisky.
• Finish: Fizzy and spicy goodness from the ginger beer leaves a lingering finish.

The Starward Canned Cocktails will be made available across Dan Murphy's and other retail chains across Australia, as either single can, four-pack, or as a slab.
