The Isle of Skye giant Talisker is back at it with a new travel retail exclusive - the Talisker Surge.
The new expression celebrates the return of travel retail and will feature prominently at various airports across Europe starting September 2022, with a broader global rollout into the year end. Heathrow in specific will host the bottle at its sample bar for travellers to taste the whisky by the dram.

“Talisker Surge is made by the sea, from rugged coastlines and powerful storms, to warming sunbeams and soaring skies, the Isle of Skye powers through our veins and invigorates our souls. The spirit of that unique place is captured within this rich spiced whisky and immediately transports adventurous travellers to this amazing island."
- Ewan Gunn, Senior Global Scotch Ambassador for Diageo
The Talisker Surge was matured in American Oak ex-Bourbon casks and bottled at 45.8% ABV, priced at an RRP of 85 GBP.

Banana split, forest berries, American cream soda.
Taste
Banoffee pie, tinned peaches.
Finish
Powerful and long, hot chilli spice and cracked black pepper.
Our Take
If you could try it while passing by in an airport, why not? Can't go wrong with Talisker, well, for the most part. Seems like a fairly standard expression here, not expecting too much pizzazz.
Kanpai!
